I recommend VeryAndroid SMS Backup. It is a smart andriod sms backup software that can copy and backup sms on Android phone to computer, restore sms backup file to any android phone, and also send messages or chat with a friend on computer directly, exactly the same as that you do on your android phone.

It can help you:
- Copy and backup sms from Anroid phone to computer.
- Restore sms from CSV to android phone any time.
- Send SMS & SMS Chat on computer directly.
- Transfer sms to android phone from other phones (iPhone, Windows Mobile, Nokia, Blackberry etc).
- View sms messages in threading mode on computer.

Well... I got PPTP to 'connect' on my Nexus One. It connects to my server, but it always says incorrect username/password.

I have forwarded ports: 1723 & 47 from the router, which let me connect to the computer, but then i keep getting incorrect username/password. I have even tried it from inside the network, same deal.

I am using my own account name and password. I even tried adding the computer name as such "\\[compname]\[account name]" (without quotes).

My account name has a space in it. Does that make a difference? I have even tried to make another account, one word. but it still gives me the same error.

Can anyone shed some light on this.

What I want to accomplish:

prerequisites:
1) Windows XP service pack2 [home]desktop on an ADSL connection.
2) Google Nexus One running Android 2.2, EDGE connection on the road... wireless connection at office, but they block a LOT of ports.

I would like to setup a VPN server on my home desktop, so my phone can access the LAN(HOME) it from office.

should have been

127.0.0.1 debian-proxy debian-proxy.lln.local

192.168.0.1 llnserver llnserver.lln.local
192.168.0.2 debian-proxy debian-proxy.lln.local

It seems to work, however, on my system, if you attempt to tidy it up so it looks nice, e.g.

127.0.0.1 debian-proxy debian-proxy.lln.local

ooops - multiple space have been mangled by HTML,
but in the example, all the names are lined up nice and pwetty :-)

guess I should have used ' ' or something

Just a further caveat...

Oddness of oddness, if you have a single space between the name entries, i.e

127.0.0.1 debian-proxy debian-proxy.lln.local

192.168.0.1 llnserver llnserver.lln.local
192.168.0.2 debian-proxy debian-proxy.lln.local

It seems to work, however, on my system, if you attempt to tidy it up so it looks nice, e.g.

127.0.0.1 debian-proxy debian-proxy.lln.local

192.168.0.1 llnserver llnserver.lln.local
192.168.0.2 debian-proxy debian-proxy.lln.local

the update failure returns...
what is that all about?

@Android User
This tutorial was composed using a Motorola Droid and a pfSense firewall running 1.2.x. Are you getting any errors when establishing the firewall on your Android Device? Also, are you using any kind of custom ROM?
